David Leese: ”Immediately felt in my element”
After two spontaneous run-ins it was time to interview Dutch DJ David Leese about his first gig. He could play his own records in a “not too hectic environment.”

Christian Smith: “Not a very good warm-up DJ”
In April 2017 I interviewed Swedish techno-DJ and producer Christian Smith about his debut. “People thought I had played too many ‘big’ tracks.”

We go back to 2016, when we met. Soon after, I spoke Dutch Ricardo Carota about his first gig. “I was rewarded by the sight of all these happy, dancing people.”

Paul Dirks: “The audience went wild”
I met Dutch DJ/producer Paul Dirks during ADE, where he played. About his first gig he said: “After two good transitions I lost that nervousness.”
