Immediately at our first meet we simply connected. Music-wise and personalty-wise. So, it was inevitable that Mischa Duncan would tell me the story of his first gig. It was quite a road yet he persisted!
The Spanish Toni Varga had his first gig in his hometown La Coruña. He was 20. In October 2015 he told me the story of his DJ debut.
Dutch DJ Tek-No-Bee got inspired by the likes of Dave Clarke, Jeff Mills and Carl Cox. In 2015 he told me about his first gig. “When it was my turn to play, it wasn’t very crowded yet.”
Marcel Sprenger aka Marcel-S’s first informal gig was at his cousin’s birthday party. In 2015 he told me about the experience. “Afterwards people came up to me and asked if there was a chance that I would continue to play.”

We met during ADE 2014 and became friends. In 2016 Daniel Gavilán aka DJ/producer Greencross even stayed at our house during ADE. Of course, in the meantime I had interviewed him about his DJ debut. “I wanted to impress every single girl.”
We met in 2011 and we became friends. Pim Verhaagen aka DJ Vortex’ first gig took place in 1999. In 2014 he told me the story of his DJ debut. “Everybody lit up starlets.”
In 2011 Kiki Toao and I met during the Cannabis Liberation Festival in Amsterdam. In 2014 we spoke about her first gig.
Dennis Price and I go back to 2010. Unfortunately Dennis passed away in 2017. In the years before we built a friendship and in 2014 he shared the story of his first gig with me. “Everything was right, this was god’s house.”
